- Login to exchange on prem https://eac.stanleybet.com/ecp/ and find current email address.
- Double click, pop up window will appear
- Click into email address on the left side of pop up window
- Hit the + sign and add in new email address and hit save
- Go to AD and locate user, click onto ‘attribute editor’ tab. It’s important to ensure you pull properties up from OU location and not search as otherwise attribute editor tab will not display
- Select proxyaddress and add in new email address ensuring that SMTP is in capital letters for new primary email, also remove old email and re add with lowercase smtp (this is to ensure any emails sent to previous name will still go to new name email)
- Once this is done right click the account and rename, after initial rename save a window will pop up. Edit all fields to new name.
- This should update all fields in AD to new name, though it will not change the ‘email address’ found on ‘general’ tab of user. Manually update this.
- Allow sync
- Check name change in on prem, exchange admin centre and 365 admin centre.
- Ask user to log out and log back in to test sign in
- Test email to user and ask for a response to ensure send as email comes through as new address
- Check signature fields – this can take some time to sync up (up to 24 hours) further test email may be required.
