Konducta Client Installation Guide

Basic Installation

 

Run up an explorer window and navigate to \\liv-sun-kt1\kontrollainstallmedia

 

If the PC to be installed is 64-bit then open

\\ liv-sun-kt1\kontrollainstallmedia\installers53E_64bit

 

If the PC to be installed is 32-bit then open

\\ liv-sun-kt1\kontrollainstallmedia\installers53E_32bit

 

 

Open the Konducta Client sub-folder, right-click on the setup.exe application, select “Run as Administrator”.

 

Keep the explorer window open for use later in the installation

 

 

Select “Next”

 

Set the installation folder as appropriate (or leave the default). Leave the “Everyone” radio button set - then select “Next”

 

 

Select “Next” and Konducta Client is installed

 

Select “Close” to exit the installer

 

Apply configuration

Step 1

 

There is a configuration file in the folder containing the installer - KonductaClientConfig53.xml

 

 

Copy this to the installation folder and replace the installed file. This will avoid the need for Step 2

 

Step 2 (if needed)

 

 

 

 

On the desktop – double click the above icon to run the program for the first time

 

 

 

An error message may be given as shown above. The software will have copied an XML configuration file to the user’s profile.

 

 

Select the program Konducta Edit Config 5.3 – it may be on the start menu (as shown) or via Start menu>All Programs>Kontrolla

 

 

When Edit Config runs up set the values as shown

 

Select Apply

Select Copy this config file to install folder as default for new users Select OK

Select OK

 

Step3

 

 

 

Double-click the above desktop icon and Konducta Client should run up without issue.

 

 

Sun6 Interface files

Navigate to folder \\liv-sun-kt1\kontrollainstallmedia\sun62

 

 

 

Highlight all the files in the folder and put on the clipboard

 

 

 

Navigate to the installation folder specified during installation and paste the selected files. If a warning is given (as above) select “Copy and Replace” for all files affected.

Running Konducta Client

 

 

 

Konducta client is now ready to be run. Either Select the  icon on the desktop or

Select Start>Kontrolla>Konducta Client 5.3 on the Start menu
